Here we are in 2009! I must be getting old because time is certainly flying by! I don’t know about you , but I like new beginnings and as we begin this new year ,  I really do have a great excitement and expectancy at what is in store.

As a church , this is the year when our building extension is going to begin……can you believe it? For so long this has seemed like a dream and in 2009 it’s going to become a reality……that deserves a WOW !!

We are confident because we know that God is with us and we look to Him as we move forward.

Recently , Kevin said “Together , we can do it “ and  “Remember , success comes in a CAN”  …..I like that. There is strength as we stay close to God and stick close to each other. We thank God that we are planted in Millfield. We haven’t put ourselves in any position , we don’t promote ourselves , we believe that God has placed us here . That makes the difference. We  also thank God for every one of you and pray that you will get to know God more this year and discover His perfect will for your life….He has the BEST in store for you. Believe that.

There’s so much more I could say , but can I just say this….be faithful…to God and to the church. Be planted and you will flourish. Determine that you are going to be committed to God and to the vision of “The House”.

In closing , let the words of Psalm 90 v17 be our prayer:

“May the favour of the Lord our God rest upon us ,

Establish the work of our hands for us,

Yes , establish the work of our hands”
