THE
JOURNEY SO FAR
In
1951, a few young people gathered for meetings in a house in
Pennywell.
From humble beginnings, a great church was born,

progressing
well under the leadership of Mr. N. Humphries and Mr G. Luke. A
redundant Methodist church became available in 1964, and with
great excitement, the church moved in, occupying the present
location on Hylton Rd. In 1977, Mr Tom Hilton

became
the senior leader, and with a lot of hard work and much wisdom,
great progress was made on all fronts – the membership grew –
and the building got better and better, undertaking two major
overhauls, one in 1977 and the other in 1999. In 2004, Mr Kevin
Clarke

became
the senior leader, having joined the church in 1982. He inherited
a very healthy church with a great future. Today, we are excited
about the next stage in the journey. Our new church centre will
soon be built,
giving us a superb facility for launching out even further.
